MUSIC: VIDEO OF THE WEEK!


Hey people! Look who's back and it hasn't even been up to a week yet! :) I hope y'all are as excited as I am to have me back so soon! Today's post has me dancing over the moon, swaying back and forth to the sonorous melody of he whose latest craft I'm about to share!
In my very first post, I mentioned that I'd be sharing all sorts with you- music, fashion, food- honestly, lifestyle in general! Following that order, let's begin with music today, shall we?

 If you know me- really, really know me, you should know about my love for this man. If you don't, are we even friends? 😕

 I have been a HUGE fan right from back in the day, have followed his career and bought every single album (except his very first- Back in the Building), know every lyric to every single record he has produced, have loved him right from when he had hair up to this moment when he's about to take one of the biggest steps of his life- with someone who's actually not me. :( I kid. I love Adesuwa!


I'm naturally an incurable romantic (ALL my friends tell me), so it's only right that that would be my very first point of attraction. He made, and continues to make, music for my soul. I connect with every single musical note that his lips produce. You can tell, quite easily, how much painstaking effort he puts into his work.

 He's also a really brilliant business man. Founder of his record label with a number of endorsements up his sleeve, he's the one responsible for initiating (like he says, "argue with your ancestors") the careers of artistes like Wizkid, Skales, Shaydee, Niyola and even DJ Xclusive.
He's a film director (with qualifications from the New York Film Academy), who's now diversified into the wonderful world of make-belief.

 Shall we talk about his intellectual capabilities? Who remembers that time, years ago, when he blew Mr. Reuben Abati out the water in response to an article he had published in the Guardian?  Does it really get cooler than this? Does it?I think not.

 I will readily continue to reel out facts about this legend without having to repeat myself. But for the sake of brevity, I need not say more. And sincerely, you probably already know.

Yes, yes, I'm expecting that there are rounds of applause and loud cheers currently on-going. I mean, because, can your fave even pull off fine boy singer, next to zero "off pant" lyrics, skilled entrepreneur with a brain he actually uses? You see a big head, all I see is what's inside!

Navigating the Emotional Rollercoaster of a Career Switch
